Branding for DREAM SEAS Lab at University at Buffalo

Though process behind DREAM's identity

Creating SEAS's Social Media Strategy

When designing SEAS's social media presence, my goal was to build a dynamic and engaging online community. Here's how I approached it:

  • Aligning with UB’s Brand: I started by analyzing the university's branding guidelines to ensure our content matched UB's visual identity. I created a mood board to guide the look and feel of every post, making sure it reflected SEAS's unique character.
  • Focusing on Key Themes:

    • Acknowledgment: I launched the "Ubdreamcreates" initiative, highlighting student projects each week with eye-catching visuals and details.
    • Community: We featured community photos and hosted bi-weekly Q&A sessions called "Ask The Dream Team," giving students a platform to share their voices.
    • Visibility: I designed concise, eye-catching templates that captured SEAS's collaborative and innovative spirit. A well-planned posting schedule, with reminders, ensured our feed was always fresh and engaging.
  • Adapting and Evolving: I made flexible templates that could easily be updated while staying true to our branding. The social schedule was carefully planned to reflect SEAS's vibrancy and maintain a consistent narrative.

Overall, my focus was on more than just aesthetics. I aimed to create content that truly represented SEAS—a place where innovation and community come together. Every post, from workshops to event recaps, was designed to resonate with our students, celebrating their achievements and fostering pride in being part of SEAS

IUSA: International Undergraduate Student Association

Social Media Management and Content Creation

UB’s International Undergraduate Student Association (IUSA) is an inclusive community of international students and other students from diverse backgrounds. Their core values are diversity, equity, global awareness, and community.

Through the design of vibrant graphic presentations, I focused on encouraging IUSA's audience to learn about cultures other than their own, and join a space that helps them better understand the world around them. I offered event media coverage on a weekly basis while monitoring the clubs engagement decisions and redirecting media outreach strategies.
